The aircraft rotates around on a 153’ diameter and requires an absolute minimum space of one acre. Some zoning requirements require as much as five acres of land to place a rotating aircraft on.

The second most complex installation is in fresh water. Cost for a fresh water installation is about 2% above that of a basic land installation.

Salt Water

The most complex footer, column and base is one constructed in sea water. The aircraft has to be coated with salt resistant sealant and paint. The bearing and column has to be made from special types of steel to prevent corrosion. The cost of a salt water installation is about 15% higher than the basic land
